Some freight providers apply a minimum charge of 1 CBM. Therefore, sea parcel can be more economical when the shipment falls below that volume.
How Sea Parcel Shipments Are Usually Handled
First, we generally ask the factory or supplier to send smaller sea-parcel shipments to the designated warehouse. This helps simplify handling, consolidation, and onward delivery.
After the warehouse receives the goods, the team prepares them for sea-parcel forwarding to New Zealand. The destination service may then provide door delivery or depot collection.
Depending on the service, the freight agent or NZ Post may complete local delivery.
