Information that improves your freight quote
You can start even if every measurement is not available. The most useful details are:
- Origin city and supplier location in China
- Destination country, city and postcode
- Carton or pallet count, dimensions and gross weight
- A clear product description and any special cargo characteristics
- A packing list, invoice or cargo photos, if available
If goods will be collected from suppliers in multiple Chinese cities, list each location and tell us whether consolidation is required.
What happens after you submit
- We review the route, cargo information and uploaded documents.
- We contact you only if missing details could affect pricing or routing.
- We recommend a suitable shipping method and explain the practical next step.
Freight estimates depend on the cargo information supplied and current carrier availability. Final charges remain subject to confirmation.
Freight quote FAQs
These answers cover the questions that commonly arise before requesting a detailed freight quote from China.
What details do I need for a freight quote from China?
Provide the origin city, destination country and city, product description, carton or pallet count, dimensions and gross weight where available. A packing list or commercial invoice is especially useful. You can still submit the form if some optional measurements are not yet confirmed.
Can I request one quote for goods from multiple suppliers or Chinese cities?
Yes. List each supplier location in the additional information field and explain whether the goods should be consolidated before shipping. Consolidation requirements can affect collection, warehouse handling, documentation and the most practical export route.
Can I request quotes for New Zealand, Australia and other countries?
Yes. Use the same detailed form for shipments to New Zealand, Australia or other international destinations. Enter the final destination country, city and delivery requirement. For route-specific information, review our New Zealand freight options, Australia freight options or worldwide freight options.
What if I do not know whether I need LCL, FCL, air freight or courier?
Select “Unsure” in the form. We can review the shipment size, urgency, cargo type and destination before recommending a suitable option. You do not need to choose a freight method or incoterm before requesting a quote.
Can I attach a packing list, invoice or cargo photos?
Yes. The Cargo step accepts packing lists, invoices and cargo photos. Uploading available documents can reduce follow-up questions and help us assess the shipment more accurately.
Can you arrange door-to-door delivery?
Door-to-door delivery may be available depending on the destination, cargo type and service selected. Choose “Door Delivery” in the form and provide the delivery city, suburb and postcode so the delivery requirement can be reviewed.
Is the first freight quote the final amount?
The estimate is based on the information supplied and current carrier availability. Final charges may change if the cargo measurements, weight, classification, routing, customs requirements or delivery conditions differ from the original details. We will identify any material assumptions when reviewing the enquiry.
