How door-to-door freight works
Review your shipment
Supplier pickup or warehouse delivery
Pickup depends on your supplier’s location. For most shipments under 100kg, you or your supplier will need to arrange delivery to the nominated warehouse in China. We will confirm the arrangements with you before your supplier sends the goods.
Coordinate freight and clearance
Plan NZ delivery
We first confirm whether pickup is available or your supplier needs to deliver to the warehouse in China. We then coordinate the agreed export and shipping steps.
Prestige Sourcing can coordinate shipments from major export centres such as Shanghai, Yiwu, Ningbo, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. After arrival, we can arrange delivery across New Zealand according to the selected service.
This may include supplier pickup, export handling, international freight, customs coordination and final delivery.
Shipping time and delivery
We provide an estimate for the whole journey, from the agreed starting point in China to delivery at your address. Time on the ship or plane is only part of that journey.
Send your full New Zealand address and postcode, including any island or rural location. Tell us about access and unloading so we can check the delivery arrangements.

China to NZ door-to-door FAQs
How long does door-to-door freight to New Zealand take?
We estimate pickup, international transport, clearance and final delivery together. Timing depends on whether your shipment uses sea freight, air freight, Sea Parcel or courier; tell us your deadline so we can recommend a suitable option.
Can you arrange final delivery?
We can arrange final delivery where a suitable service is available. Send us the collection and delivery addresses; we will check the service and explain the customs arrangements and quote inclusions before booking.
What information should I send for a quote?
First, send your name, email, NZ destination and goods type. Also include weight, packed dimensions, collection city and purchase terms if known. A packing list helps us assess your shipment.
Can I ship less than 50kg?
Send your goods details so we can check a suitable service. A 15 USD administration fee applies to shipments under 50kg if you are not sourcing through Prestige Sourcing. The fee applies to all shipping methods.
Does door-to-door mean duties and GST are paid?
Door-to-door describes delivery, so duties and GST are not automatically included. We explain who pays duties, GST, brokerage, inspections and other charges in your quote and how the purchase terms affect those costs.
Is depot collection a door-to-door service?
A depot service ends at the depot. If you need delivery to your address, tell us where the goods need to go and we will check the additional transport and cost.
Does door delivery include unloading?
Unloading depends on the agreed service. Tell us about the goods, truck access and lifting equipment; we will clarify who unloads, delivery booking requirements and any waiting charges. Full containers also need suitable unpacking and empty-return arrangements.
Where can I check the NZ import requirements?
We coordinate customs clearance with the relevant broker and let you know what information or documents are required. Our New Zealand customs and delivery guidance provides supporting information about import and delivery requirements.
Who is responsible for the information declared to Customs?
We coordinate the customs-clearance process with the broker handling your shipment and let you know what information is required. You are responsible for making sure the factual information you or your supplier provide about the goods is accurate and complete, including the product description, quantity, value, contents/materials and any supporting documents. We’ll flag obvious issues where we can, but we can’t verify information that has not been disclosed or has been provided incorrectly. Customs or other authorities may also request supporting evidence or inspect the shipment.
