Is air freight right for you?
Air freight can suit urgent stock or valuable goods when sea transport is too slow. We check the contents, packing and available flights, along with customs arrangements and delivery at your destination.
For smaller urgent parcels, compare express courier. See air freight to New Zealand or air freight to Australia for those destinations. Our international freight overview compares sea, air and courier.

Tell us about batteries, liquids, chemicals or unusual handling needs before sending the goods. We need the full product description and packed measurements to check the airline’s rules.
If a courier cannot take your parcel, we can check air freight separately. Tell us when you need the goods and whether the receiver has the documents needed to clear them at the destination.

Plan customs and delivery
We will confirm the collection or warehouse-delivery arrangements in China after checking your goods. Send the number of packages, their outside measurements, packed weight and the available paperwork.
At the destination, you or your appointed customs agent will need to provide the information required to clear the goods. If your quote ends at the airport, arrange transport from there or ask us to include delivery.
Shipping time
and costs
Ask for a current estimate for your route, including the time needed for handling in China, flights, checks after arrival and local delivery. Flight frequency, connections, cargo screening and available space can affect the dates.
Compare the total price for the same delivery point. Large, light cartons can cost more because of the space they occupy. Check whether government charges, special handling, inspections or storage are included in your quote.

Receiving your air freight
Choose the collection or delivery point before comparing air-freight quotes. A price to the airport does not automatically include customs clearance or transport to your address.
Tell us about remote locations, connecting transport or equipment needed to unload. Door-to-door freight can help coordinate those stages; express courier may suit a smaller parcel.

International Air Freight FAQs
Can I get a quote for airport-to-airport shipping?
Tell us where the goods are in China and where you want them delivered. Check whether the quote includes handling in China, customs on arrival and local delivery, or whether you need to arrange these yourself.
Is volumetric weight the same for every air service?
No. Airlines and services can use different calculations. Send each package’s final size and actual weight. We will explain which weight is used for your quote and whether rounding or a minimum charge applies.
Are restricted goods accepted worldwide?
We need to check the product, packing, airline and destination before confirming that it can travel. Send full details, including any batteries, liquids or chemicals.
Should I use the same import instructions for every destination?
No. Each country has its own rules for goods, paperwork and customs checks. Use our New Zealand or Australia freight guidance for those destinations. Ask about the requirements for any other country before shipping.
What does the delivery estimate include?
Ask where the journey starts and ends, and whether the estimate includes customs checks and local delivery. The dates depend on your route and the services included in your quote.
What do you need for a quote?
Start with your name, email, destination country and city, and what you are shipping. If known, add the packed size and weight, supplier’s location, date the goods will be ready and the receiver’s details.
Does the under-50kg administration fee apply?
A US$15 administration fee applies under 50kg if you are not sourcing through Prestige Sourcing, across all methods. Send your goods details so we can check the available service.
Where can I check the import requirements?
Use the international customs and shipping guide for documents and checks to prepare before shipping. Check the destination country’s official import guidance and agree who handles customs before sending the goods.
