LCL means Less than Container Load. Your goods share a sea container with other customers’ shipments, so you do not need to pay for a whole container.
For New Zealand, LCL generally suits about 1 cubic metre (CBM) or one pallet upwards. A cubic metre is the space in a box measuring 1 metre long, 1 metre wide and 1 metre high. Smaller cartons may suit Sea Parcel.

Pickup depends on your supplier’s location. For most shipments under 100kg, you or your supplier will need to arrange delivery to the nominated warehouse in China. We will confirm the arrangements with you before your supplier sends the goods.

We confirm whether pickup is available or your supplier needs to deliver to the warehouse in China before the goods are sent. The warehouse groups your goods with other shipments for sea transport.
In New Zealand, the depot unpacks the container. Your goods can leave once the required import checks are complete. We explain the depot address, collection paperwork and deadline, or the delivery arrangements included in your quote.

How long does LCL sea freight to New Zealand take?

Can you arrange final delivery?
We can arrange final delivery where a suitable service is available. Send us the collection and delivery addresses; we will check the service and explain the customs arrangements and quote inclusions before booking.

The depot unpacks the shared container in New Zealand. Once the required import checks are complete, your cartons or pallets can be collected or delivered as agreed. We explain the collection paperwork and deadline so you can plan pickup.
How do minimum charges affect my LCL quote?

What should my LCL packing list include?
List each carton or pallet, its packed measurements and weight, and what is inside. Tell us whether boxes can be stacked and whether any goods are fragile or need special handling.
Where can I check the NZ import requirements?
We coordinate customs clearance with the broker handling your shipment and tell you what information is needed. You are responsible for supplying accurate and complete factual information about the goods, including the description, quantity, value, contents/materials and supporting documents. We flag obvious issues where we can, but cannot verify undisclosed or incorrect information. Customs or other authorities may request evidence or inspect the shipment.
