Plan the fair around what happens next
Prestige Sourcing provides practical Canton Fair tours and buyer support for importers travelling to Guangzhou. We can help you choose the right phase, prepare your supplier brief, focus your time at the exhibition and manage the work that continues after the show.
The Canton Fair can be useful for discovering products and meeting suppliers, but it should not be treated as a place where an entire sourcing project will be completed in a few days. Quotations, samples, supplier checks, factory visits, specifications, purchasing, quality control and freight planning usually continue after everyone leaves Guangzhou.

The Canton Fair is the start, not the finish
Many buyers plan a trip to China expecting to find a product, negotiate final terms, inspect a factory and place an order during the same visit. That is usually not the right approach.
The fair is a strong product-discovery and supplier-introduction opportunity. However, an exhibition booth gives you only a limited view of the company, product and proposed commercial arrangement. The person at the booth may be a salesperson, an export representative or a member of a trading company rather than someone directly responsible for production.
After the show, supplier quotations still need to be compared on the same specifications. Materials, components, customisation, packaging, MOQs, tooling costs, samples, lead times, payment terms and Incoterms may all require clarification.
Prestige Sourcing can help turn the contacts collected at the fair into a controlled sourcing process. That may include Chinese-language follow-up, quote comparison, sample coordination, supplier verification, factory checks, purchasing support, production monitoring, quality inspections, consolidation and freight planning.
Do not judge the success of a Canton Fair trip by the number of catalogues or WeChat contacts collected. Judge it by whether you leave with a small number of suppliers that are worth investigating properly.
Choose the right Canton Fair support
This is not a generic sightseeing or group-holiday package. Support is scoped around your product category, supplier requirements and commercial objectives.
Attend the Canton Fair with Prestige
For buyers travelling to Guangzhou, we can help prepare the sourcing brief, identify the correct phase, prioritise relevant halls and keep supplier conversations focused on the details that matter.
Support may include product questions, supplier communication, MOQ discussions, sample requirements, packaging, customisation, indicative pricing, production timing and organised notes for follow-up.
Send Prestige on your behalf
Travelling to China is not always commercially worthwhile. Prestige Sourcing can attend relevant halls on your behalf using an agreed product and supplier brief.
Depending on the scope, we can investigate suitable products, visit relevant booths, ask initial questions, collect permitted information and photographs, record supplier responses and prepare a practical report. We do not simply collect random catalogues.
Manage what happens after the fair
The strongest supplier options normally require further work after the show. We can follow up in Chinese, compare quotations, coordinate samples, clarify specifications, investigate supplier claims and help plan the next commercial step.
This support can continue through supplier verification, factory visits, purchasing, production monitoring, quality control, consolidation and international freight.

A Canton Fair exhibitor may be more than 1,000 kilometres from Guangzhou
The Canton Fair brings suppliers and exhibitors to Guangzhou from across China. A company may have a Guangzhou sales office, but its registered business, production site or subcontracted factory could be in another province.
Therefore, meeting a supplier at the exhibition does not mean you can automatically visit its factory during the same Guangzhou trip. Some suppliers may be based in Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Shenzhen, Zhongshan or elsewhere in the Pearl River Delta. Others may be located in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, Shandong or another manufacturing region far from Guangzhou.
Before committing time and travel costs, confirm:
- The supplier’s full Chinese company name
- Whether it claims to be a factory or trading company
- The registered company address
- The actual production location
- Whether production is completed in-house
- Whether the proposed facility can be visited
- Whether the visit is commercially worthwhile
Prestige Sourcing can conduct an initial supplier verification or arrange a more detailed China factory audit when an on-site review is justified.
Do not build an entire China itinerary around factory addresses provided verbally at exhibition booths. Confirm the production location first.
Planning for the 2026 Canton Fair
The 140th Autumn Canton Fair is currently scheduled across three phases:
- Phase 1: 15–19 October 2026
- Phase 2: 23–27 October 2026
- Phase 3: 31 October–4 November 2026
Different phases cover different product groups. Always confirm the current phase, product category, registration requirements and venue information on the official Canton Fair website before booking flights or accommodation.

- Product certification, labelling and destination-market compliance remain the importer’s responsibility.
- No sourcing, verification or inspection service can guarantee future supplier conduct or a defect-free order.

Samples, quotes and purchasing
Turn initial discussions into clearer specifications, comparable quotations and organised order records.
Production and quality control
Monitor agreed production steps and check products before final payment or shipment.

Canton Fair tours and sourcing support FAQs
Is this a general group tour?
No. This is commercial sourcing support for importers with a defined product category, supplier requirement or buying objective. The service is scoped around what your business needs to achieve before, during and after the fair.
Can you help me choose the right Canton Fair phase?
Yes. Provide the products or categories you want to investigate and we can help identify the likely phase. The buyer should still confirm the latest categories and dates through the official Canton Fair information before booking travel.
Can Prestige attend the Canton Fair without me?
Yes, where the agreed product and research scope is suitable. We can attend relevant halls on your behalf, ask initial questions and provide organised findings. The work must begin with a clear sourcing brief.
Can you arrange factory visits during my trip?
Potentially. First, the supplier’s actual production location and availability must be confirmed. Some factories may be near Guangzhou, while others may be hundreds or more than 1,000 kilometres away and require separate travel or a later local visit.
Is a Canton Fair exhibitor automatically a verified manufacturer?
No. An exhibition booth does not prove that the company operates its own factory, produces every item displayed or is the correct legal entity to receive payment. Further supplier verification or an on-site audit may be appropriate before placing a significant order.
What can you help with after the fair?
Support may include supplier communication, quotation comparison, samples, specifications, supplier verification, factory audits, negotiation, purchasing, production monitoring, quality control, consolidation and freight planning.
Should I pay a deposit while I am at the fair?
Do not rush payment simply because a salesperson offers a fair-only price or creates urgency. First confirm the company, product specification, commercial terms, payment beneficiary, sample requirements and inspection plan.
How is Canton Fair support priced?
Pricing depends on the required preparation, number of days, product categories, whether Prestige attends with you or on your behalf, travel requirements and the level of post-fair support. We will confirm a practical scope before work begins.
Make your Canton Fair trip commercially useful
Tell us what you want to source, which phase you are considering and whether you plan to attend in person. We can help define what should happen before the fair, at the exhibition and after the suppliers return to their home cities.
