A dedicated container
from China to Australia

Full container shipping (FCL) gives your order its own container from China to Australia. It can suit a large order or goods you want loaded together, without sharing the container with other customers.

Send the packed size and weight of your goods, plus the delivery address. We will help check the container size, how it will be loaded and how you will receive it in Australia.

Is FCL shipping right for you?

FCL gives your goods their own container. It does not need to be completely full. We help you decide whether it offers good value and plan how the goods will be loaded, secured and unloaded.

For a smaller order, compare LCL shared-container shipping. To compare sea, air and courier, see our China to Australia freight overview.

Dedicated container

Send the packed size and weight of your goods so we can help choose a suitable container.

Shipping costs

We explain loading in China, sea freight, customs arrangements and Australian delivery in your quote, including any separate costs.

Shipping time

We estimate the journey with you, allowing for loading, sea transport and checks when the goods reach Australia.

Delivery options

Tell us about truck access and unloading. We help plan delivery and empty-container return.

We help you plan how to receive your container in Australia. Tell us whether a container truck can reach your address, how you will unload and how much time you need. If you cannot receive the container there, we can discuss unpacking elsewhere and onward delivery.

Australian biosecurity rules can affect where the container is allowed to go and where it can be unpacked. Give us the full postcode, especially for a rural property. See Australian import and delivery requirements and the door-to-door freight service.

FROM SUPPLIER TO DELIVERY

How FCL shipping works

01

Review the load

Send the packing list, cargo dimensions, weight and Australian receiving postcode.
02

Agree loading

We confirm the loading location with you and explain the packing details and export documents needed.
03

Move the container

We arrange the agreed sea route and clarify Australian customs and biosecurity arrangements.
04

Unload and return

We help plan delivery, unloading and empty-container return with you.

We help arrange shipping from Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Ningbo and Yiwu. Goods may arrive through Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle or Adelaide, depending on the ship route and delivery address.

We clarify the loading location, equipment and materials needed to secure the goods with you. In Australia, the goods must complete the required import checks before collection or delivery.

Shipping time
and costs

Time on the ship is only part of the journey. Loading, port deadlines, any transfer between ships, Australian border checks and delivery appointments also affect when you receive the goods.

We explain the time allowed for unloading, the empty-return deadline and who pays any storage, waiting or late-return charges, so you can plan the receiving end.

Before your goods reach Australia

Container and packaging

Your container must be clean and wooden packaging must meet Australian biosecurity rules. We help clarify the preparation needed before loading.

Documents before departure

Send the supplier invoice and packing list. We help identify any container packing declaration or proof of packaging treatment needed.

Unloading and container return

Tell us the postcode, truck access and unloading equipment. We clarify the time allowed for unloading and container return.
FROM SUPPLIER TO YOUR ADDRESS

Container delivery in Australia

Your quote can end at a port or depot, or include delivery to a warehouse or other address. Tell us about access and unloading equipment before choosing the delivery service. Depending on the goods, destination and biosecurity status, the container may need inspection, treatment or movement to an Approved Arrangement site before it can be unpacked at your premises.

Regional trips, Tasmania and remote addresses need their own transport arrangements. Compare door-to-door freight for help organising delivery, or LCL if you only need to receive loose cartons or pallets.

Australia FCL FAQs

Your goods do not have to fill the container. Send the packed size, weight and delivery address and we will compare the total cost of your own container with LCL shared space.

Send the postcode and receiving-site details. We will check the transport and unpacking options for your goods and biosecurity status; rural delivery does not itself authorise immediate unpacking.

Send us accurate information about the packaging materials, including wooden pallets, crates and any wood used to support the goods. We flag relevant shipping and biosecurity requirements and coordinate with the broker handling your shipment. Formal treatment or inspection requirements depend on the materials and the applicable rules or directions from the relevant authority.

We clarify who collects and returns the empty container, the unloading time allowed and any late-return costs before delivery. Tell us about your receiving site so we can plan suitable arrangements.

We explain where your estimate starts in China and whether it ends at a port, depot or your Australian address. Timing allows for the agreed journey, including customs and biosecurity checks, and remains an estimate.

Start with your name, email, Australian destination and what you are shipping. If known, add the packed size and weight, supplier’s location, date the goods will be ready and any delivery or unloading needs.

We coordinate customs clearance with the broker handling your shipment and tell you what information is needed. You are responsible for supplying accurate and complete factual information about the goods, including the description, quantity, value, contents/materials and supporting documents. We flag obvious issues where we can, but cannot verify undisclosed or incorrect information. Customs or other authorities may request evidence or inspect the shipment.

Our Australian customs and delivery guide provides supporting information about import and delivery requirements.
