CHINA TO AUSTRALIA · SEA PARCEL

Smaller sea shipments
to Australia

Sea Parcel may suit a few cartons from China to Australia when you can wait for sea transport. Your cartons travel with other shipments under a parcel service, with different conditions and pricing from standard LCL sea freight.

Send the goods description, each carton’s packed weight and measurements, and your Australian postcode. We will check the available service and explain the collection or delivery options before quoting.

SEA PARCEL

Is sea parcel right for you?

Sea Parcel can suit a few cartons when you can wait for sea transport. Send the contents, packed weight and measurements of each carton, plus the delivery postcode. We will check the service’s limits and minimum charge.

For pallets or larger goods, compare LCL sea freight. For urgent parcels, compare express courier. View all China to Australia freight options if you are unsure which method suits you.

Smaller cartons

Tell us what is in each carton, how many cartons you have, and their packed size and weight.

Shipping costs

We compare the total cost, including minimum charges and local handling, to see whether Sea Parcel offers value for your cartons.

Shipping time

Allow time to group parcels in China, ship them by sea, complete Australian checks and arrange delivery.

Delivery options

Send your postcode and we will check depot or address-delivery options, including regional and island destinations.

A small shipment still needs to meet the Sea Parcel service’s carton limits and packing rules. Send the length, width, height and weight of each carton so we can check suitability and the minimum charge.

Tell us if the goods contain food, plant or animal material, timber or wooden packaging and we will flag any biosecurity requirements that may affect the booking. The Australian shipping requirements provide supporting information.

FROM SUPPLIER TO DELIVERY

How sea parcel works

01

Check the parcel service

Provide goods, each carton’s dimensions and weight, and the Australian postcode.
02

Arrange warehouse delivery

We confirm service suitability and the China warehouse address before your supplier sends the goods.
03

Group cartons and ship

The warehouse groups suitable cartons for the booked sea shipment.
04

Collect or receive your goods

Once the required import checks are complete, your goods are collected or delivered as agreed in your quote.

Once the booking is agreed, your supplier sends the goods to the nominated warehouse in China. The warehouse checks the booking details, carton measurements, weight and contents before the cartons are grouped for shipping.

After arrival in Australia, the local agent helps arrange clearance and the agreed collection or delivery. Send the exact postcode: remote areas and Tasmania may need different transport arrangements from a city delivery.

Shipping time
and costs

Sea Parcel suits goods you can wait for. We estimate the whole journey, allowing for grouping cartons, sea transport, Australian border checks and collection or delivery.

We explain the total price for your cartons and postcode, including the minimum charge, local handling and delivery. Government fees, inspections, storage or remote delivery may cost extra; we clarify how these are treated in your quote.

Before your goods reach Australia

Each packed carton

Send the length, width, height and packed weight of each carton.

Goods and packing

Tell us what the goods are made of and whether the packaging includes timber. We need to check these before shipping.

Your delivery options

We check delivery to your postcode, explain collection alternatives and clarify any extra handling charges.
FROM SUPPLIER TO YOUR ADDRESS

Receiving your Sea Parcel in Australia

We explain whether the available Sea Parcel service offers address delivery or depot collection. Send the postcode and tell us about residential access, islands or regional transfers so we can check the final journey.

For larger cartons or pallets, compare LCL sea freight. Express courier may suit smaller parcels when timing is more important.

We explain where your estimate starts in China and whether it ends at a port, depot or your Australian address. Timing allows for the agreed journey, including customs and biosecurity checks, and remains an estimate.
