Air freight can suit urgent stock or valuable goods when sea transport would take too long. The price depends on the weight and space your goods take up, as well as the route and delivery service. Tell us the destination and deadline so we can check flights and what happens after the cargo arrives.

AIR FREIGHT

Is air freight right for you?

Air freight can suit urgent stock or valuable goods when sea transport is too slow. We check the contents, packing and available flights, along with customs arrangements and delivery at your destination.

For smaller urgent parcels, compare express courier. See air freight to New Zealand or air freight to Australia for those destinations. Our international freight overview compares sea, air and courier.

Goods you need sooner

Tell us what you are shipping, its packed size and weight, and when you need it at the destination.

Shipping costs

Airlines may charge by the space your packages take up, called volumetric weight, when it is higher than their actual weight. Ask which weight and minimum charge your quote uses.

Shipping time

Allow time for checks in China, flights and connections, customs on arrival and local delivery.

Delivery options

Ask about collection from an airport or depot, or delivery to your address. Check what each quote includes.

Tell us about batteries, liquids, chemicals or unusual handling needs before sending the goods. We need the full product description and packed measurements to check the airline’s rules.

If a courier cannot take your parcel, we can check air freight separately. Tell us when you need the goods and whether the receiver has the documents needed to clear them at the destination.

FROM SUPPLIER TO DELIVERY

How air freight works

01

Check your goods and deadline

Confirm the destination, required receiving date and packed cargo details.
02

Confirm packing and collection

We check whether the goods can fly and where they need to be delivered in China.
03

Choose the flights

We check available flights, including whether your goods need a connecting flight.
04

Plan customs and delivery

Agree who handles customs on arrival and how the goods will reach your address.

We will confirm the collection or warehouse-delivery arrangements in China after checking your goods. Send the number of packages, their outside measurements, packed weight and the available paperwork.

At the destination, you or your appointed customs agent will need to provide the information required to clear the goods. If your quote ends at the airport, arrange transport from there or ask us to include delivery.

Shipping time
and costs

Ask for a current estimate for your route, including the time needed for handling in China, flights, checks after arrival and local delivery. Flight frequency, connections, cargo screening and available space can affect the dates.

Compare the total price for the same delivery point. Large, light cartons can cost more because of the space they occupy. Check whether government charges, special handling, inspections or storage are included in your quote.

Before your goods arrive

Tell us what you are shipping

Tell us about batteries, liquids or anything needing special handling before your supplier sends the goods.

Prepare for customs

Confirm the destination receiver, required documents and any product approvals with the relevant authority or broker.

After the goods arrive

Check whether your quote ends at an airport, depot or your address, and who arranges each part of the journey.
FROM SUPPLIER TO YOUR ADDRESS

Receiving your air freight

Choose the collection or delivery point before comparing air-freight quotes. A price to the airport does not automatically include customs clearance or transport to your address.

Tell us about remote locations, connecting transport or equipment needed to unload. Door-to-door freight can help coordinate those stages; express courier may suit a smaller parcel.

START WITH WHAT YOU KNOW
